Two buildings in marble support the memory relations with the surrounding. The aqueduct, the wall and the fortress of San Antonio, is the presence of greater significance.
In contrast to the preexistence of granite marble raw, built in masonry with all waste marble Estremoz, just have to be white and with uniform thickness, the length is variable.
The same heavy-permeable form of the building B, is reversed in building A more compact and closed in on itself. The building B merges with the aqueduct, the building reminds us of the wall. Both build a new avenue, are the sense of urbanity.
By topographic understanding of the place, the volumes to the west dig the ground and create a series of courtyards or meeting places. This morphological intent mitigates the impact with the environment. Feeling that apparently less built, with more to discover.
These buildings take place in Évora seeking anonymity, are perhaps ways by which you can enter with great naturalness placing the university in the city life.
